Veterans Connection: MCVSC Newsletter |
Please continue to forward the newsletter and ask fellow veterans to subscribe. With over 36,000 veterans in the county, we’ve still got a long way to get them all subscribed, so please help by referring local veterans to https://mcvsc.org/subscribe.
We're now up to 485 subscribers, an increase of 39 from the last newsletter. Our goal is 50 new subscribers between each newsletter. Please spread the word! |

Cliff Westermann Documentary at The Neon |
A new documentary about artist and World War II and Korean War veteran H.C. Weternamnn will show at THE NEON later this month. Westermann’s dramatic personal history can be traced through beguiling, surreal artworks he made to process the horrors he witnessed on the front lines. In so doing, he became an inspiration for many young artists. | Westermann: Memorial to the Idea of Man if Here Was an Idea, is directed by Leslie Buchbinder and narrated by Academy Award nominee Ed Harris. THE NEON will host a special one-time screening on Sunday, May 26 at 5:00 p.m. Tickets are $12.50 and available now. |

New Emergency Number for Dayton VA |
The Dayton VA has launched a "tele-emergency care" line to assist locally enrolled veterans with medical advice and prescription services.
Enrolled veterans can access the service by calling the Dayton VA’s main number at 937-268-6511 and pressing “3.” The number is available 24/7, serviced by a medical triage staff that can direct veterans to the appropriate level of care. |

If you qualify for VA benefits but are not currently enrolled, reach out to the Montgomery County Veterans Service Commission and we will work to get you properly enrolled. MCVSC enrollment services are all free of charge and we work to make sure you receive all the benefits you are entitled to. |
