Veteran Getting Benefits after 78 Years! |
Louis Gigliotti, a 103 year old World War II veteran, just recently began receiving his veteran benefits. The former U.S. Army medical technician never knew that he was eligible for benefits such as health care.
His caretaker noticed that he had been paying out-of-pocket for benefits he could receive for free from the VA. She worked with the local VA to get Gigliotti signed up for the benefits he had been missing out on.
Talk to fellow veterans about benefits. You never know who may be incurring unnecessary medical bills. No matter how old, it's never too late to sign up for the benefits you're entitled to. The Montgomery County Veterans Service Commission is here to help veterans navigate the complexities of the process and get enrolled for VA benefits. |
