Honoring Our Veterans: Free Concert at Levitt Pavilion | | The "Honoring Our Veterans" summer concerts at Levitt Pavilion have all been huge successes. The Montgomery County Veterans Service Commission is proud to once again sponsor this free event to honor local veterans.
Join us this July 4th for a special concert event honoring our veterans. This celebration will pay tribute to the brave people who have served our country. Montgomery County Veterans Services will be present, offering information about their services. Enjoy an evening of live music, community spirit, and heartfelt gratitude as we come together to recognize their sacrifices and dedication. This concert is the perfect way to start your Independence Day celebrations before you head to the river for fireworks! Don’t miss this opportunity to show your support and appreciation for our veterans on Independence Day.

VA Disability Calculator Produced Incorrect Figures; Disability Payment Affected

|
VA has acknowledge that a disability payment calculator used on the VA website resulted in incorrect disability payments. As of now, it is not clear how many veterans have received incorrect disability payments. Many of the errors resulted in underpayments ranging from $132 – $4,170, but veterans may have been overpaid by as much as $373.
The findings were in response to a VA Office of Inspector General investigation spurred by a November 2023 report that the calculator was inaccurate. The error producing calculator was taken down in October 2024. |

VA Dental Insurance | | | Most veterans don't qualify for dental care through VA, but the VA Dental Insurance Program offers discounted rates for veterans and qualifying family members. The program allows veterans to sign up through select private insurance partners for discounted rates. The VA Dental Insurance plan will not necessarily be a better deal than your existing plan, depending on your employer's contributions and other factors. But for many the VA plans will help reduce costs, so it's worth getting a quote.

For local veterans who cannot afford private insurance, please check out the Montgomery County Veterans Service Commission dental assistance program. Even if you do not qualify for VA dental coverage, we may be able to cover basic dental expenses. | |
