Ohio Department of Veterans Services to Host 2025 Women Veterans Forum |
| As a highlight of its monthlong effort to recognize outstanding women of service during Women’s History Month, the Ohio Department of Veterans Services (ODVS) will host an Ohio Women Veterans Forum, titled Women Veterans Leading the Way. This event will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 21, in the Atrium of the Ohio Statehouse in downtown Columbus.
The public and members of the media are welcome and encouraged to attend this free lunchtime program, which is expected to last approximately one hour. | | | | Apply to Host VA-Recognized 2025 Regional Veterans Day Observances | VA and the Veterans Day National Committee is requesting that cities, towns, and non-profit groups apply to hold VA-recognized Veterans Day observances. Many Montgomery County governments and non-profit groups already hold events to pay tribute to America's veterans. Becoming a VA-recognized event will help draw more attention to your Veterans Day observance.
The following criteria are used when evaluating which events will become official VA-recognized events:
- The event is dedicated solely to honoring the men and women who served in the United States Armed Forces.
- The event is supported by, and open to participation by, Veterans service organization(s) that represent loyal service to the United States.
- The event is supported by city, county, town or municipal authorities (as applicable).
- The event is not a fundraiser and is free and open to the public.
Even if your Veterans Day event does not become a VA-recognized event, be sure to submit it to the Montgomery County Veterans Service Commission. We may include your event on our calendar and in this newsletter. | | | |

The museum also features monthly Veterans Coffees, special events, outreach programs, and online programs. We are open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10am-2pm or by appointment.
