|
Wright State held their military appreciation basketball game on January 25th at the Nutter Center, which began with festivities honoring airmen from Wright Patterson Air Force Base. U.S. Air Force Col. Dustin Richards, 88th Air Base Wing and Installation commander, also gave the Oath of Enlistment to new recruits of the United States Air Force. The oath signifies a public statement of commitment for those entering the Armed Forces.
The game itself was a gritty defensive effort, with Wright State pulling out a 67–50 victory despite only shooting 37%. Redshirt Junior Brandon Noel led the team with a double-double, netting 15 points and 12 rebounds. |

| | Wright State University's Boonshoft School of Medicine is one of six universities nationally to receive a research grant to study the effects of toxic exposure. The study aims to better understand the effects of toxic exposure from burn pits and other military-relevant chemicals.
“We’re looking for this data to provide insight into individual sensitivity, based on gender and stress levels, to outcomes from different military-relevant environmental exposures,” said Dr. Courtney Sulentic, one of the researchers awarded the grant.
The Montgomery County Veterans Service Commission helps veterans who have been disabled by exposure to toxic chemicals receive VA benefits. If you have or someone you know has a disability related to exposure to toxic chemicals while serving in the military, please reach out to the MCVSC. Our services are always free of charge. | | | |
