MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE

MONTGOMERY COUNTY VETERANS SERVICE COMMISSION

JANUARY 6, 2021 AT 10:00 A.M.

I. CALL TO ORDER

President Hays called the meeting to order at 10:03 a.m. at 627 Edwin C. Moses Blvd., 4th Floor, East

Medical Plaza, Dayton, Ohio 45417.

II. ROLL CALL

President Hays requested Ms. Zimmer to take the roll call.

Staff members present: Kim Frisco, Executive Director, Dan Semsel, Deputy Director, and Missy

Zimmer, Administrative Officer, Nathaniel Peterson, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, Josh Shaw,

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. Invited Guest: Ashley Webb

III. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Vice President Rojas led the Pledge of Allegiance and asked for a moment of silence.

IV. OLD BUSINESS

President Hays asked for a motion to enter into executive session for a pending court action pursuant to

Ohio Revised Code Section 121.22(g)(3). Secretary Fried made a motion to enter into executive session.

Vice President Rojas seconded the motion. Vote for approval was as follows:

President Hays declared the motion approved as presented and entered into executive session at 10:06

a.m. President Hays declared the meeting back in open session at 10:30 a.m.V. NEW BUSINESS

a) President Hays asked for a motion to enter into executive session regarding employment of a public

employee pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 121.22(g)(1). Vice President Rojas made a motion

to enter into executive session. Secretary Fried seconded the motion. Vote for approval was as

follows:

President Hays declared the motion approved as presented and entered into executive session at 10:06

a.m. President Hays declared the meeting back in open session at 11:00 a.m.

b) Discussion was held regarding recommendation of Commissioners to have separate email addresses

from personal email addresses.

VI. ADJOURNMENT

The meeting adjourned at 11:17 a.m.
